We're Not Sending Christmas Cards!
15 December 2008
"Bah, humbug!"
We've decided not to send Christmas cards to any of our clients, partners or prospects this year, instead we will be making a contribution to a local charity.
Following the freezing of funds in Iceland banks, a number of charities have had to cut back on the services and help that they provide. One of these, Naomi House children's hospice, based in Winchester, have had to suspend the provision of their Hospice at Home Service (link opens in a new window).
"Naomi House has been running a Hospice at Home service in Southampton, Winchester and Basingstoke since last year. Plans had been agreed to extend the service to cover a greater area across the Wessex region, and offer more families the reassurance of emergency respite support in their homes. Now this will not be possible until the funds held in KSF [one of the Icelandic banks] are released. It is a devastating blow for families who often have no alternative way of coping in a crisis."
Hopefully our contribution will go towards this brilliant charity being able to get back to 'normal service' as soon as possible.
